Joint Network Meeting
The Joint Network co-ordinates all four of the geological storage networks (Risk Assessment, Monitoring, Modelling, Wellbore Integrity) and the Environmental Impacts of CO2 Storage Workshop Series.
In June 2008, a meeting of three of the geological storage networks (Risk Assessment, Monitoring and Wellbore Integrity) was organised in New York, USA, hosted by the US Environmental Protection Agency, with aims:
The Joint Network Meeting was considered to be a major success. As well as focusing the current individual network activities the meeting identified areas for future research, and one major outcome was the formation of the fourth storage network: The IEAGHG Modelling Network.
Research & Development
The Joint Network Meeting will occur once every four years to enable members of the Risk Assessment, Modelling, Wellbore Integrity Networks and, members of the Environmental Impacts of CO2 Storage Workshop Series, to come together to identify and discuss common areas which may require input from more than one network to advance the geological storage knowledge base through integration; in addition to ensuring the current networks are working efficiently without duplication or gaps.
Meeting and Summary Reports
Summary reports from previous Network workshops are available, together with information on the next workshop.
The 2nd IEAGHG Joint Network Meeting will be held on 19th - 21st June 2012 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, hosted by Los Alamos National Laboratory.
