IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme

67 samSo another week has gone by and another GHGT conference has passed us in a blur. I know that all of us really enjoyed the conference and the local hospitality here in Austin, Texas; I’m sure most were sad to see the event draw to a close yesterday afternoon. We’ve had sessions on capture, transport, storage, regulations, utilisation, social research...the list goes on! A hugely productive and interesting experience has been had by all, and it’s been fantastic to see so much networking going on throughout the week – between both old friends and new.

Myself and the IEAGHG team would like to say a huge thank you first and foremost to our Steering Committee, Technical Programme Committee and the local organisers. Without your continued hard work in the run up to the conference, this week wouldn’t have been the success that it was. We truly appreciate your hard work and enthusiasm in taking on such a mammoth task – but you did it, and you did it well! We’d also like to thank all of our presenters; both oral and poster – without whom we would not have been able to have such a full, exciting and interesting schedule throughout the week. Finally, I’d like to thank all the delegates – your attendance makes this conference a success, year in year out. We truly hope that you’ve all found this week as enjoyable and interesting as you had anticipated.

Remember to stay tuned to the IEAGHG blog and social media feeds – over the next few weeks we will be posting  numerous post-event items; from blogs to interviews and session summaries to general thoughts.

We wish you a safe onward journey from Austin, and hope to see many of you at the next GHGT conference in 2016. See you in Lausanne!
