Reviewing the implications of unlikely but potential CO2 migration to the surface or shallow sub-surface

Description

This IEAGHG study, conducted by CSIRO, evaluates the key issues and risks associated with the geological storage of CO2 to assess the potential environmental and public health implications of CO2 migration to the surface or shallow subsurface, whilst illustrating the low likelihood of this occurring. Using a Causal Network assessment framework to identify a series of steps and cause-and-effect relationships, they take the reader on an accessible and interactive journey whilst also providing a distillation of over two decades of research.
