Having contributed to the Nobel Peace Prize winning IPCC assessment report, Arthur Lee is a hugely experienced leader in carbon management and climate science. Arthur was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to serve as a member of the National Climate Assessment Development and Advisory Committee (2011-2014), for which he received a signed recognition letter from President Barack Obama (2014). Arthur continues to be an official observer on behalf of business and industry at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations each year from COP5 Bonn (1999) to COP25 (Madrid, 2019).
Tim has been active in UNFCCC meetings since 1999, representing CCS since 2005. He was the EU lead negotiator for CCS in the CDM at UNFCCC COP-17, and a UK negotiator for CCS in the London Convention, the EU CCS Directive, and the EU ETS. Now Tim is the head of IEAGHG.
