Following consultation with our hosts, Khalifa University and various stakeholders, we are excited to announce the move from a physical, in-person event in Abu Dhabi to a fully virtual online conference.
The conference dates will remain the same: It will be held from 15-18th March 2021, and will be scheduled according to the Abu Dhabi time zone. The conference will contain the confirmed seven stream technical programme and keynote agendas.
This important decision was made in light of the continued global health concerns and the travel and quarantine restrictions, which remain in most countries to contain the COVID-19 virus. The current situation still carries a great deal of risk and uncertainty for a physical international gathering of the size of the GHGT event, and it is thus with our delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and other partners in mind, we have decided that converting to a fully virtual conference is the best solution.
We are aiming to open the registration to all delegates and presenters very soon. The fees will still offer early bird rates for both students and standard delegates covering attendance with access to the full technical program and online activities. Costs are anticipated to be significantly less than attending in-person, and will be announced via the GHGT-15 website and social media in the coming weeks.
