The drive towards CCUS implementation across the Asia-Pacific region was highlighted recently as part of the Asia Clean Energy Forum hosted by the ADB. Delegates from several Asian companies and research orientated institutions, as well as representatives from the IEA, World Bank, US DOE, International CCS Knowledge Centre, Canada, UK-China (Guangdong) CCUS Centre, the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy as well as IEAGHG contributed to proceedings.During the meeting a DeepDive Workshop highlighted the prevalence of nascent CCUS development across the Asia-Pacific region with active ADB support for CCUS in China and Indonesia where CO2-EOR is becoming a reality.The ADB CCUS Fund has also supported studies in Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Mongolia, Myanmar, Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
